At the beginning of 2020, COVID-19 suddenly broke out, which was disrupting all of our plans. Fortunately, by the altruistic contribution of medical staffs, the epidemic has been controlled in China. So, we can return to normal life gradually. Streets are lively again. Shops and enterprise resume operation. Also, our schools are well prepared for welcoming students to return the beautiful campus.

However, we cannot relax now. For students to grow happily and healthily, we must be vigilant on defending against the epidemic.

A. School preparation

  1. To ensure that every corner of the campus is hygienic, the schools of the Likeda Education have carried out multiple rounds of cleaning and disinfection since March. Our schools have strict hygiene requirements. For example, every small toy building block must be cleaned. Therefore, we can make sure that children can grow up in a safe environment.
  2. Teachers have returned to our schools to rehearse for preventing epidemic on campus. After repeated rehearsal, we make sure that all processes in our schools, such as morning inspection, classes and meals, are appropriate.
  3. Our schools will implement a closed management system. Unrelated persons are not allowed to access into campus. Everyone who accesses into campus must show his/her health QR code and receive a temperature test.
  4. Set up isolation rooms and maintain sufficient epidemic prevention supplies to prepare for sustainable epidemic prevention.

B. What parents/ students should prepare?

  1. Students can return to school only their Wenzhou health QR code, health monitoring code and health report form have been checked by class teachers.
  2. Parents or teachers must measure body temperature for students every day.
  3. Student’s health QR code and body temperature must be check before school. If students feel sick, parents or students must inform the class teacher as soon as possible. Moreover, they must immediately receive medical treatment and take rest. 72 hours after they have recovered, they can return to school with a health certificate from hospitals.
  4. Parents can prepare some epidemic prevention supplies for students. For example, masks, hand sanitizer, 75% alcohol disinfectant wipes, etc. Parents should remind students to take the supplies with them. At the same time, our schools will provide sufficient epidemic prevention supplies for unexpected needs.
  5. Our schools will implement staggered for both arriving and leaving schools. So, parents should drop off and pick up their children on time to avoid congestion. We suggest parents avoid taking public transportation to prevent cross-infection. Resident students must receive temperature test 3 times every day. If we found that any students feel unwell, there will be 24-hour shift school doctors and a special car to arrange students to receive appropriate treatment.
  6. During school time, parents and other people are not allowed to enter the campus without permission. When parents pick up their children, they should check their body temperature and health QR code before entering the campus.
  7. Parents should teach their children to maintain good hygiene. For example, use the “seven-step hand-washing method”, wear a face masking properly, avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth, and use flexed elbow or tissue to cover mouth and nose when coughing and sneezing, etc.

C. In campus

  1. Our schools will strictly implement staggered for meals. Moreover, teachers will instruct students to keep 1 meter away from each other. Wenzhou Dalton Elementary School will launch the “home-school cooperated labour education”. Students, except first-grade students, will prepare their lunch box in the first week.
  2. Improve communication with students. Help them to review their online learning to discover their strengths and weaknesses. Help them to build confidence and define their goals in learning.

Epidemic prevention in schools requires not only cooperation between teachers and students, but also the supporting and understanding of parents. Likeda Education promises to put students’ health and safety in the first place. Therefore, they can grow healthily and happily.
